appreciation

The following is an excerpt from a patient satisfaction survey elicited by the hospital where I work in my hometown.......What do you feel needs to be improved at our hospital? "Nothing! My nurse Wendy was the best! I have had 5 children & she is the nurse I will always remember. She is wonderful."
Thank you,
J.G

This is why I do what I do! Having that kind of impact on someone's life fills my heart with joy:)

What a MARVELOUS, wonderful note your patient wrote for your "satisfaction survey" :-) Seldom do people take the time to talk/write about the positives of an experience. I'm SO glad you have this to add to your "encouragement file" (personal file you keep of good stuff like this to dig out and read through when you need a lift). And I'm writing to thank you for the comment you left on my blog about what I wrote commenting on a post on the Serenity Hospital blog. I'm so very glad it was helpful for you. That's a really hard, hard situation...and I know I'm not even scratching the surface. Please take hope, though. I was the director of an outpatient mental health clinic for 14 years and have 19 years experience of a very active practice. There really is much reason for hope. All the best to you!

I'm not surprised you made a good impression. You are a very caring nurse and anyone would be lucky to have you take care of them:)
